Our School Signed a Cooperation Agreement with the New Zealand Institute of Technology

On November 15, 2023, Mr. Mark Oldershaw, the CEO of the third large region of UniTec, and Mr. Bryan Read, the Director of the International Department, Innovation dept, and liason dept and Shaun Li, the International strategy consultant and a group of 4 people came to our school for exchange visit. Party Secretary Yang Yunfeng, Vice President Wang Weiqun, heads of School of Rail Transit, School of Traffic Information, School of Continuing Education and International Exchange and other departments talked with guests. The forum was hosted by Wang Weiqun.


At the forum, Yang Yunfeng, on behalf of our university, welcomed the New Zealand Institute of Technology education delegation to visit again. He briefly introduced the history of our school, the size of students, professional characteristics and the development of international exchanges, and put forward the vision of further cooperation with New Zealand Institute of Technology, hoping that the two sides can work together for mutual benefit and win-win, carry out more comprehensive and in-depth exchanges and cooperation, and provide strong talents and skills support for the economic and social development of China and New Zealand.

Mark Oldershaw expressed his appreciation to our school for the warm reception. He introduced the basic situation of New Zealand Institute of Technology, including campus environment, disciplines, admission policies and procedures, and hoped to carry out all-round and multi-field cooperation with our school. The two sides also discussed the important cooperation contents such as the joint establishment of "Qinling Workshop", the joint construction of Sino-foreign cooperation projects, the joint training of "upgrade from junior college student to university student" and "upgrade from junior college student to Master degree", and the establishment of language center, and signed the agreement on the joint education of higher education and the establishment of language center MOA.

According to information that the National New Zealand Institute of Technology was established in 1976, is the largest national institute of technology in New Zealand, there are three campuses, 23,000 students, of which 2800 international students from more than 80 countries and regions. The university is a member of the UNESCO International Association of Universities and has established cooperation and exchange relations with more than 100 overseas institutions of higher learning
